TOPLESS!!!!!!?????!!!!!

So we went a little overboard. I have no more privacy as my innards are now my outards? Anyway I am glad to shed a few pounds. Although we noticed some sag problems are back. Back to the welder i'm afraid. Everything was going great until the top came off, and now my doors don't line up any longer.

Christmas was good to me.......

For Christmas I received new floor boards and new rocker panels both interior and exterior. I was very suprised. Now we just needed to have them welded in. Luckily my owner knows some good guys in Huntsville that came to my rescue. One full day of cutting and welding has brought me to my current status. Whoops, I forgot to mention earlier of the other goodies we have been collecting new seats and new odometer. My current seats were mismatched and were not appealing. I overheard my owner tell someone he was going to recover the new seats and the bench in the back. I am so excited.

Hello Flinstones.....

Now that I was sitting correctly on the frame it was time for more surgery. We cut out my floorboards, basically the metal was worthless.

We decided not to cut the rockers because I was feeling really weak. My body was already staring to bow badly in the middle and my doors would not close. We added some jack stands under my belly to help support me. Whew, was I glad. Once I was sitting better, we thought a makeover might be in order. So, off with the old paint and surface rust and bring in the primer. As much as I hate to say it primer looks much better than my old skin.

The day after......

Well after we got home and washed off the fun we realized I was not as good as I once was. We pulled up the vinyl floors and saw some serious problems. Rust had eaten most of my floors and rocker panels. My body bolts were not tight and I was slipping all over the place.

The first of many operations was to fix the body bolts. After checking my underside we learned that my PO had a shoddy 2" body lift installed. Well we now are back in good shape, new bolts, bushings and salvage the 2" blocks. It was quite a battle, we used a cumalong, some straps and another truck to get my stance back. The process was pretty painful but I feel much better now.

The beginning of a new life.....

Hello, my name is Rusty. This is the day my new life begins. It was a little over a year ago.

I am glad to have a new home, my old home was outdoors and was cold at night. I was not driven and neglected.

This is a picture of me and my new owner. We also had another addition to the family when I arrived, "Sammy". He has had a wilder life than I. He is snorkled and has a welded rear end. He is also alot lighter than I am.

Just after a week at my new home we traveled north to General Sams Off Road Park. Wow what a good time we had.
